Their target in Ogun State were two businessmen, namely Alhaji Shehu and Alhaji Kabiyesi. They planned to either rob them or kidnap them for ransom”.
Crime Puzzle reports that, on getting the intelligence, CP Iliyasu wasted no time in mandating the Officer-In-Charge of FSARS, SP Uba Adams, to ensure he tracked, trailed and rounded up the hoodlums, a directive we further learnt, the FSARS operatives technically trailed the bandits and accosted them in Abeokuta, even before getting to their targeted victims.
According to CP Iliyasu, “On sighting the policemen, they engaged them in a gun battle, but were subdued by the superior fire power of the police. At the end of the gun battle, one of the suspects was shot dead, while three namely Yussuf Abdullahi, Ali Mohammed Audu Isa were arrested”.

The police chief added that, “This is a signal to others in their shoes that Ogun State is not and will never be a place where they can fester or hibernate, as our operatives are working round the clock to ward off such criminal elements”, adding that his command was resolute and determined to flush out any unscrupulous element out of the state, in order to ensure that the good people of the state slept with their two
